My family seems to be full of those who are musically inclined. Many of our family gatherings would include live music and dancing. I was raised on country, gospel, and bluegrass music. Almost everywhere we went, there was always someone playing a musical instrument.
It seems as though my mother could play anything she put her hands on. Guitar, mandolin, piano, banjo, violin, upright bass and she even played the clarinet in school. I can only dream of having half the talent that my mother had.
Many times, when my thoughts are wandering back to my childhood, I can still her playing her mandolin and my grandparents strumming along with their guitars. — So many cherished memories.
