I just wanted to take a moment to wish all a Happy Mother’s Day!
It’s been a gloomy and rainy weekend and the depression has set in. It happens every year. Birthdays, Holidays and Special Occasions are always the worst. The rain hasn’t helped either. I will get through it, as I always do.
My girls can’t be here until later today. Stephanie is in South Carolina with her kids and Deanna had to work. They are planning to take me out for dinner later this evening. Hope I can snap out of this gloom before then.
It has just been one of those days when all the memories come flooding back through my mind. All the joy, and laughter and even the tears that I shared with my mother. The memories are priceless.
So, If you are lucky enough to still have your parents, cherish every moment and tell them every day that you love them.
I was only 36 years old when my mother passed. We had a great relationship as friends as well as mother and daughter. Our time was cut way too short. I would just like to tell her one more time, “I Love you!”. Cherish every moment that you have because one day, all you will have are the memories.
